Last week I started "Paint and Draw Together" painting challenge for all artistic souls out there willing to practice and advance in a community of like-minded. Last week I decided to join Rookiepainter painting challenge. That way I would probably paint a subject I would hardly ever choose to paint by myself. This painting was done from a photograph provided on the blog, http://www.rookiepainter.blogspot.com/ where artists are encouraged to paint or draw their own interpretation of the subject. A new reference photo is posted every 3 weeks and this is February 2010 Orange Challenge. It is thoroughly amazing to see all different interpretations and variety. Please visit the blog. After long pause I am back to daily painting routine. This time with a lot of spring colors and sunbathing. It definitely helps to forget cold Canadian winter and -19 C from the last week, at least for a moment.
