"Lake Aquitaine - Ontario Landscape"
Size 4" x 6" inches
Medium - archival artists oil paint
It was a beautiful day and I couldn't resist taking my small pochade box for some plein air painting in the neighbourhood park. It was so peaceful in the evening towards sunset; the birds flying home; the treetops glowing with a golden light as they caught the last rays of the setting sun; and I wanted to reflect the tranquil atmosphere in my painting.

Still Life - Cherry Reflections
Size 5" x 3" inches
Medium - Oil
Painted on "Pintura" Painting Panels made in Italy - primed cotton canvas mounted on wood panels
This is an original oil painting, painted in one sitting from life - with brush marks that remain visible after the painting is dry. This composition of two cherries and their reflections, so closely interrelated, reminds me of complex relations between us and the universe around us. What is real, and what is only a reflected image?

Blue Bearded Iris
Size: ACEO (2.5 X 3.5 inches)
Medium & Support: Watercolor on 140lb Arches
I had once read that the word iris means “rainbow”, it was named after a Greek Goddess who is considered the messenger of love and uses the rainbow to travel. In this painting I have tried to capture the spirit of this beauty...the space and atmosphere around the flower ... and the luminosity and softness of the petals ...

Rose - Royal Bonica
I have 'discovered' so many gorgeous rose varieties in Toronto in the last couple of years. Despite our long cold winter, rose growers in Canada remain strong and passionate about this king of flowers which can melt any woman's heart.
